We are so excited to announce that our membership with Wycliffe is now official!  Woo-hoo!  Yesterday, we each received our own version of the following…

Dear Aaron and Rebekah,

It’s my privilege to inform you that on 08/20/2013 you were officially accepted as members of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA. We have made the following note in your record. Aaron Wade and Rebekah Wade, U.S.A., are granted the status of Member of Wycliffe USA. 

I thank the Lord for leading you to Wycliffe and pray that He will provide for, strengthen and guide you in your ministry. As the Scriptures say:

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3: 16-19).

May God bless you and bless the Bibleless peoples through you. Welcome to the team!

It’s okay to shout and High Five.  We did!  Quickly after this we received our branch invitation to serve in Papua New Guinea, which was another big reason to celebrate. God is so good and His timing is perfect.  It’s hard to express how excited we really are. Since Aaron is recovering from an emergency appendectomy, and our church is literally dumping the love out on us, we’ve had the chance to sit back and revel in it more than we would have otherwise.  Did I mention His timing is perfect?

So now it’s time to start preparing our hearts and our minds.  We’ve still got quite a journey ahead of us to get ready.  Thanks so much to all of you who have been so supportive of us so far – our journey together is just beginning!
