We’re here! After almost 24 hours of flight time over the last few days, we finally arrived at the Ukarumpa Training Center Friday evening. The flight from Port Moresby to Ukarumpa was breathtaking!  We could feel your prayers and seemed to be in your presence as we soured over the beautiful and unique landscape of Papua New Guinea.  The Lord was displaying His creative power as He seemed to part clouds at just the right moment to unveil a new peak, rainbow or river to our eyes. What an experience!  We will spend the next 6 weeks here at the Center doing language and culture studies, then the following 3 weeks in a village somewhere nearby.  We do not have much internet access, but we wanted you to know we’re safe and finished traveling for a while.   We are all healthy (praise God!) and making wonderful new friends.  Your prayers have helped carry us this far. Please continue to pray as we begin to train for living and thriving in this country.  Doug will be leaving in the morning as well, so please pray for his safe journey home.  We hope you understand how much you are loved and appreciated. May the God of peace, love and mercy reign in each of your hearts.
