Dear ones, we deeply appreciate your prayers and support for us the last couple of months while we’ve been in the USA. We’ve had a LOT of medical appointments and have been getting some informative and excellent care. Rebekah has been recovering very well, and it looks like we’re on track to be released and return to Papua New Guinea in a few more weeks. Praise the Lord with us for His provision and faithfulness.

We’ve truly enjoyed the unexpected blessing of reconnecting with our families and many of our Tennessee friends during this medical leave. Attending church here has also been extremely refreshing. We’ve been overwhelmed yet again by the loving generosity God shows us through His people.

Many of you were praying last November for the JESUS Film audio recording project that was happening in Sivauna village. After some edits and processing by our incredible International Media Services team, I’m pleased to announce that the Mamusi JESUS Film is completely finished and on its way here for us to take back to PNG with us! This is much sooner than we were anticipating, and we’re thrilled to be able to carry it in our luggage instead of counting on the mail. I’ve let our Mamusi brothers and sisters know, and they are eagerly waiting and making plans for the first round of screenings. It’s not too early to be praying for the Holy Spirit to use the film to impact the Mamusi language community and to draw them into a deeper understanding of Christ’s relentless love for them.

More great news coming from the other direction: All chapters of the Gospel of John have been drafted, and the teams are now checking each others work! Work always slows down this time of year because of so many church activities during the season of Lent. We were able to encourage their efforts of repentance and seeking God by sending out more copies of the Easter booklet and the Stations of the Cross Prayers, documents prepared last year in Mamusi. We’re praying these materials get in the hands of people who will be able to read, understand, and appreciate the miracle of the Resurrection in a fresh and powerful way this year. We’re trusting God will handle the logistics of distribution without us.
We are currently aiming to leave Tennessee the last week of April. Please pray with us for continued physical improvement, for the logistical challenges of traveling internationally right now, and for all our hearts as we prepare for yet another transition. We wish we could have made it out to Texas on this trip, as well as seeing so many of you that we’ve missed, but we’re so grateful that we’ve been able to get the medical help we needed here in East Tennessee. We’re praising God for your partnership in our Wycliffe ministry.
Blessings to each of you in this Holy Week. May the resurrected King draw you to Himself and speak to your heart through His Word as you seek to walk the road of suffering and victory with Him.
Grateful for the Lord’s TIMING to orchestrate ALL that was needed…international travel, health improvement for Rebekah, and the Mamusi Jesus film project. He is FAITHFUL! Praying daily for you and family. ❤
