Ready to Return!

Our family has been basking in the love and help of our family, churches, and friends these past few months! We are so blessed and grateful for the support network God has provided for us.

In addition to you, our faithful partners, God has brought us to another organization called Ripe For Harvest. We are grateful for our previous decade with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and are excited to step into this new season with RFH serving as our launching and support organization. Thank you to our donors for switching to this new giving platform for our ministry! If you’ve never given, would you please prayerfully consider how you might invest in our family and ministry?

Soon after the New Year, we will be departing to head back to Papua New Guinea to continue to serve in Scripture Translation with SIL-PNG, based in Ukarumpa, as we have been the previous ten years. We are excited to get back to our PNG home and ministry!

Thanks for your prayers regarding Evie’s transition to University. She is doing very well in her studies, has made great friends, and found an amazing church! Please continue to pray for her and us as we separate. It will be very different to have her entire nuclear family on the other side of the planet. Thanks to God for wonderful relationships with supportive extended family members in Tennessee. His faithful love and care have conditioned us to be able to comprehend leaving her behind for so long, but we do appreciate your prayers as we actually walk through it. Obedience has a new cost this year.

Please also pray for a team of people who are preparing to come serve as childcare for SIL-PNG’s Conference next year. We are excited for this opportunity, and cover your prayers over their health and logistics.

We are so grateful to be receiving about 70% of our new operating budget with Ripe For Harvest. Please pray for God to provide for our needs as travel and living costs have increased a great deal. Would you be willing to advocate for us to your church or any group to which you are plugged in? We are looking for consistent gifts throughout the year, as well as one-time gifts to help get us through this next major transition. God has always provided what we need, and we will walk forward in obedience and gratitude.

    Hello Wade Family!

So good to hear from you and, yes, I will be praying for God’s protection/guidance for Evie! May He provide wisdom, discernment, encouragement and unexpected joy throughout her journey! And the same for you/family as you begin your new arrangement with Ripe for Harvest! Thanks for the beautiful pictorial photos of your family – such a blessing! May God provide a wonderful time with family/friends during the CHRISTmas season and bring unexpected joy prior to leaving for PNG! I am so grateful for your commitment to God’s calling as you share Christ whenever/wherever possible! May His presence be evident in all that you do and enable you to touch/transform lives for God’s kingdom!

    To God be the glory!

P.S. And don’t forget to give those precious children a BIG “hug” for me!
